We as members of Fellowship Bible Church South believe
as the scriptures attest that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
He is the Savior of the world and all those who express
faith in Him (John 3:16). We believe that the Bible is the
inerrant, complete, and full revelation of God to all mankind
(2 Timothy 3:16). We believe that it is the authority for all
issues public and private. We believe the Holy Spirit is the
emissary sent by Jesus to convict and gather those who
believe in Jesus, into the body of Christ worldwide and
historically (John 16: 9-11). We believe that God the Father
calls the Church body to a holy, sanctified, and disciplined
life (1 Peter 1:16).
|
|
We believe the two ordinances the Church is instructed
to keep by the Savior's decree are Baptism and Holy
Communion. Baptism should occur as soon as possible
after a new convert expresses faith in Jesus Christ as
Savior (Matthew 28:19). Communion should occur as often
as the Church feels moved to commemorate it (1
Corinthians 11:26) until the Lord returns.
|
|
Should there be a dispute in the Church on any issue,
we as members of Fellowship Bible Church South, will
apply the scriptures to the amelioration, correction, and the
resolution of the problem ( Matthew 18: 15-17); forgiving
one another (Colossians 3 12-13) as Christ has forgiven
each of us.
|
|
We as members of Fellowship Bible Church South will
be moral, avoiding behavioral impurity in any form
(1Thessalonians 5:22) which brings disgrace on Christ
name (Hebrew 6:6). We will work if we are physically and
mentally able (2 Thessalonians 3:10). We as members will
contribute to the restoration and redemption of our families
and society by the way we live (1Timothy 3:7) and the
things we say (1Peter 3:15).
|
|
Our aim is to contribute morally, ethically,
evangelistically, and financially to the Kingdom of God and
His program in history; until Jesus comes again (Matthew
24:44).
